Fords, New Jersey native Mackenzie Bloss enrolled at Monmouth University to continue her academic and athletic career after graduating from St. John Vianney High School. If her first softball season is any indication, Bloss will have a strong career on the diamond for the Hawks.
Bloss was named to the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Softball All-Rookie Team. She is the first-ever Hawk to received CAA postseason softball honors.
Bloss Strong in Conference Play
She batted .218 overall and .280 in league games during her freshman campaign while starting every game in center field. Bloss was tied for the team lead with 23 hits and six doubles versus CAA opponents this season. Defensively she proved to have a strong arm, throwing out three base runners this season.
Monmouth finish 8-16 on the season, their first in the CAA.
