NJ/NY Gotham FC jockeys into Challenge Cup Final

A tie doesn't always feel like a win but today for Gotham FC, it definitely did. The result means that NJ/NY Gotham FC clinches a spot in the Challenge Cup Final and will play for its first championship since 2009.

NJ/NY Gotham FC who clinched the Eastern Division with a tie against Racing Louisville FC, will now have to face the always competitive Portland Thorns.

"I think both our transition game and their transition game, it will be a fun matchup," said Gotham FC midfielder Allie Long.

Portland who owns the record 8-6-5 over Gotham FC will look to stop the team from Jersey who is quickly on the rise.

"We want teams to know that we play good football and we want teams to fear us and not be like its an easy win," said Gotham FC defender Caprice Dydasco.
