New York Jets vs. Minnesota Vikings: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

There was a hard-fought battle to the very end in the New York Jets vs. Minnesota Vikings game this past Sunday.

The Vikings barely squeaked by a 27-22 win over the New York Jets last Sunday. The Jets' defense held firm against Kirk Cousins, but couldn't stop WR Justin Jefferson. The Jets' offense made a valiant comeback, but came up just short. Let's take a look at the good, the bad, and the ugly.

New York Jets vs. Minnesota Vikings: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

The Good

Jets' Offense: Despite starting off slow in the first half, the Jets' offense came back to life as QB Mike White threw for 369 yards and two interceptions. White couldn't get into the end zone passing-wise, though he made a stouthearted effort to comeback in the final seconds of the game.

Garrett Wilson: Mike White's primary target was WR Garett Wilson, who had a great game. Wilson caught eight receptions for a career-high 162 yards. Wilson is quickly becoming the go-to target for this young Jets' offense.

The Emergence of Zonovan Knight: When RB Breece Hall went down with a season-ending injury, many thought that the run game would be nonexistent. Enter Zonovan Knight, who is quickly becoming a staple in the offense. Knight had 15 carries for 90 yards. Knight has the speed element to jumpstart this offense, and could be a vital piece to the Jets' playoff run.

The Bad

Jets Run Defense: Despite holding Vikings RB Dalvin Cook under 100 yards, the Jets' run defense was pretty iffy. They allowed 128 yards on the ground with two scores. By definition, this may not be "bad," but I think there's room for improvement.

The Interceptions: Two White interceptions are unacceptable. (the first one was not his fault)

The Ugly

The Jets showed major grit in this outing, despite coming up short, so in my eyes, there is no ugliness to speak of.

"This team fought their frickin' tails off." - Mike White

Three Stars of The Game
