Social Media Manager

Overview:

We are looking for a social media manager to join a growing sports media start-up. You must have a passion for producing engaging content on all social platforms, experience with both informative content and engaging content is a plus. You will be managing our company brand in a cohesive way to achieve our marketing goals. In addition to content creation, you will also manage the growth of our social channels to generate followers and leads.

Qualifications

    • Experience with short form video content production, ability to optimize content for YouTube and social channels such as Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok
    • Exceptional writing and presenting skills, with the ability to manage storytelling across multiple media including blogs, video, infographics, etc
    • High energy, "can do" personality and ability to thrive in a ever-changing environment
    • An innovative, growth mindset, with unwavering commitment to creating world-class storytelling
    • Deep knowledge and appreciation for sports and lifestyle
    • A focus on execution and precise project management

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for creating original text, image and video content, managing posts and responding to followers on all social platforms
  • You will manage our company image in a cohesive way to achieve our marketing goals
  • Ultimately, you should be able to handle our social media presence ensuring high levels of traffic and customer engagement
  • Design social media strategies to achieve marketing targets
  • Manage, create and publish original, high quality content
  • Creating GIFs, social media images and live shooting social media videos
  • Editing video content for social media channels
  • Be the lead and manage a team of social media interns
  • Working with internal teams to gather materials/ information for social media postings
  • Developing social media and content plans
  • Managing responses on social media pages
  • Administer all company social media accounts ensuring up-to-date content
  • Liaise with writers and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing
  • Facilitate client-company communication (respond to queries, organize chats and Q&A sessions)
  • Stay up-to-date with new digital technologies and social media best practices
