Kean University’s eSports team kicked off their season with multiple events last week.
On Jan. 30, team "Smash White" (Andre Gray, James Hoenings, and John-Paul De Luca) won against Farmingdale State University, 2-0, while "Smash Blue" (Solian McClard, Eder Gonzalez and Stephen Schulte) defeated New York Tech, 2-0 in "Super Smash Bros." action.

On that same day, the Cougars (Joe Paul Mong'are) earned a 2-0 victory over University of Health Services and Pharmacy of St. Louis in FIFA 23 action, while they lost to SUNY Canton, 2-0 in Rainbow Six action.
On Jan 31, Kean (Zaree Neal) won against Siena Heights University, 2-0 in NBA 2K23 action, while losing to CCSU in "Valorant" action, 2-0.
On Feb. 1, RL Blue (Justin Peters, Brian Ruiz and Jacob Ullman) grinded out a tough, 4-3 victory over the College of Saint Rose, while RL White lost to RPI, 4-0 in Rocket League action. In addition, the Cougars (Jhordy Jaramillo, Chelsea Pelley, Danny Gavino, Jerry Howard and Joel Aguilar) defeated Ohio Northern University, 3-0 in Overwatch 2 action.
On Feb 2, Kean fell to USC-Aiken, 2-1 in Madden 23 action.
