LPGA Tour to hit four New Jersey courses in May and June

Quick Quiz: Which U.S. states will host the most LPGA Tour events in 2023? California is one, that's no surprise. But our own New Jersey joins the Golden State with four weekends as part of its 34-event, 10-month, 13-country slate.

The ladies opened the season in Orlando on Jan. 19-22 and are currently on their second stop, in Chonburi, Thailand, with one more international event (Sentosa, Singapore, March 1-4) before returning to the U.S. through mid-July.

Four of those events are right here in the Garden State, beginning with the Cognizant Founders Cup at Upper Montclair Country Club in Clifton, May 11-14. After a month-ending trip to Las Vegas, the Tour returns to Jersey City for the Mizuho Americas Open at Liberty National Golf Club, May 29-June 4, followed a week later in Galloway, N.J. for the ShopRite LPGA Classic presented by Acer at historic Seaview. After a week in Michigan, the ladies return for their final Jersey event in Springfield, the prestigious $9 million KPMG Women's PGA Championship at Baltusrol Golf Club.

Of the 11 states the Tour will visit, in addition to the four tournaments each in California and New Jersey, Florida will play host to three, while Texas, Michigan and Ohio get two apiece.

Tickets for LPGA events are generally much more affordable than the PGA Tour counterparts, with many discounts and offers available. (For instance, the ShopRite LPGA Classic has offered grounds passes to Price Plus Club and Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield NJ cardholders). Fans should check all the offers to enjoy the best players in the world tee to green.
