Major Upset Day As Both New York Teams Grab OT Wins

As we witnessed on Sunday, major upsets took place, one in the Superdome and one in MetLife Stadium.

New York Giants Beats the New Orleans Saints

The New York Giants did what many wouldn't have said could be done, they defeated the New Orleans Saints on the road in the Superdome (New Orleans, Louisiana), 27-21 in overtime.

The Giants scored 17 unanswered points to overcome an 11-point deficit to secure the win. A 51-yard strike from quarterback Daniel Jones to John Ross gave the Giants a 7-0 lead with eight seconds left in the first quarter. The Giants also connected on another big play, a 54-yard touchdown score in the fourth quarter on a Jones pass to running back Saquon Barkley, who was split out wide.

The Giants have made some plays that would surprise many football fans, especially Giant fans who were begging for those type of plays the first three weeks of the season.

They will now travel to Dallas next week to play divisional rival Dallas Cowboys before returning back home to play Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams.

New York Jets Beats the Tennessee Titans

Regardless of it taking a combined of 15 quarters, rookie quarterback Zach Wilson finally showed his playmaking ability that led to the New York Jets selecting him with the second pick in the 2021 NFL draft.

The Jets beat the Tennessee Titans at home 27-24 in overtime to improve to 1-3. They will play the Atlanta Falcons in Atlanta next week and will be on the road to play divisional rival New England Patriots in Foxborough the following week.

Can the Jets continue their win streak or will their streak come to an end? We'll see next week at 1PM et vs. the Atalanta Falcons.
