New Jersey Jackals Release 2021 Schedule

As New Jersey is powering through another snow-filled winter, it can be easy to forget that baseball season isn't that far away. And with baseball season nearing, it means New Jersey Jackals baseball is on the horizon. And with that, the New Jersey Jackals have released their schedule for the 2021 season. It will be the Jackals first season playing in the Frontier League following the league suspending it's 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Jackals will open the season with a two-game series on the road against the Miners on May 27 and 28, a rematch of the 2019 Can-Am League Championship. The Jackals will then return to Yogi Berra Stadium for their home opener against the Boulders on May 29, followed by two more games against New York on May 30 and 31.

New Jersey will play 96 total games in 2021, 48 at home and 48 on the road, against teams in their own division, the Can-Am Division. This means with the exception of one series, the Jackals will play regular season games against the New York Boulders, Sussex County Miners, Québec Capitales, Ottawa Titans, Trois-Rivières Aigles, Tri-City ValleyCats, and Washington Wild Things. The only exception is from Aug. 20 to 22 when they'll play a three-game series at home against the Florence Y'alls of the Midwestern Division.

Following the completion of the 2021 regular season, the two division winners from the Can-Am Division will face each other in a best of five Divisional Series. Games 1 and 2 will be played on Sept. 14 and 15 where the lower seed will host the higher seed. Sept. 16 will be a travel day barring any rain followed by game 3 and if necessary, games 4 and 5 being played from Sept. 17 to 19 where the higher seed will host the lower seed.

The New Jersey Jackals will look to win their third straight league championship in 2021 after winning the Can-Am League Championship in 2019 and the All American Baseball Challenge in 2020.
