New York Jets vs Miami Dolphins: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

It is finally over.

After such a promising season, it came to an end last Sunday as the Jets lost to the Miami Dolphins 11-6. After starting the season 7-4, the Jets lost their remaining six games to finish with a record of 7-10. There will be a lot of questions heading into the offseason. Offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur was already fired so it already started. With that mind, here is The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.

The Good:

Garrett Wilson: Wilson has been the bright spot of the offense all season as he finished the season with 83 receptions for 1,103 yards and four touchdowns. Wilson, who was the 10th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, is one of the favorites to win Offensive Rookie of The Year. Wilson's future will be very bright.

The Bad

Joe Flacco: The Quarterback carousel came to an end without a whimper. The Jets' offense only managed to put up six points against the Dolphins. Joe Flacco was ineffective,  going 18/33 with 149 yards. Looks like he phoned it in last Sunday. The biggest question for the offseason: Who will be the Jets quarterback in 2023? Zach Wilson? Mike White? Derek Carr? Aaron Rodgers? Joe Flacco? Who knows

The Running Game: The Jets' running game only combined for 38 yards. That's all you need to know. Ever since RB Breece Hall went down with a torn ACL, the Jets' running game was great for only two games. After that, the running game just went downhill

The Ugly:

The Last Six Games: The Jets had a chance to make the postseason for the first time since 2012. They lost six games in a row and blew their shot. Brutal.

Three Stars of The Game:

WR Garrett Wilson: nine receptions, 88 yards

DE Quincy Williams: Nine Tackles

LB CJ Mosley: Five Tackles

Season over.
