New York Jets vs Jacksonville Jaguars: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

That was the ugliest game the Jets played all season.

In a game the Jets had to win, they faltered. Badly. The Jets were embarrassed by a red-hot Jacksonville Jaguars team on Thursday Night Football by the final score of 19-3. The defense was a bit shaky at times while the offense was nonexistent. However, this loss didn't hurt the Jets' playoff chances as the Dolphins lost to the Packers on Christmas Day. The Jets are currently one game back of the Dolphins for the final AFC Wild Card sport. Let's take a look at The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.

The Good:

Jets Defense (CJ Mosley in particular): The Jets' defense was shaky but wasn't that bad. Linebacker CJ Mosley showed up to play as he registered 12 tackles. Quinnen Williams, who missed one game with a calf injury, registered a sack in the game. However, the defense had trouble at times stopping Trevor Lawrence and the run game, but they were still able to hold the Jaguars to under 20 points in the game.

Chris Streveler: Chris Streveler replaced Zach Wilson with 3:31 seconds left in the third quarter and provided a "spark" for the team as he went 10/15 for 90 yards. To put things into perspective, Zach Wilson was 9/18 with 92 yards and one interception. Bad offense.

The Bad:

Jets' Running Game: The running game was basically non existent. The leading rusher was Streveler who rushed for 54 yards on nine carries. Rookie Zonovan Knight carried the ball six times for -2 yards. Before this game, the Jaguars' run defense was ranked 14th in the NFL.

The Fumbles: Garrett Wilson lost a fumble and Streveler lost a fumble. Turnovers are always costly.

The Ugly:

Zach Wilson: Let me just say this: Wilson's time is up in New York City. Jets have lost confidence in him and it seems like Wilson has lost confidence in himself. Best thing to do is to move on.

Three Stars of The Game:

QB Chris Streveler: 10/15 90 yards, nine carries 54 yards

LB CJ Mosley: 12 tackles (nine solo)

LB Quincy Williams: 10 tackles (six solo)

Next Game: @ Seahawks on Sunday, January 1st at 4:05 pm.
