Red Bulls prepare for another Union meeting

It was a fantastic week for the New York Red Bulls as they took four out of six points against their inner-city rivals in NYCFC. To get a late Stoppage time penalty converted by Patryk Klimala and a one-goal victory scored by Omir Fernandez, with a big clean sheet performance from Carlos Coronel.

With a big performance on Saturday, the Red Bulls will once again turn their attention to their next match which will be another big-time matchup against their I-95 rivals south of them in the Philadelphia Union. Currently, in fourth place and with 38 points, this will be another big test for the club who is continuing to dig themselves out of a hole.

"We expect again a very tough game. They are extremely powerful in their transitions. In key moments they have big players on the physical side," Said Gerhard Struber. "We can see them getting success in those moments. But with a clear game plan that we keep the ball away from them if we can.

We need the right game plan and the right execution to make sure they don't punish us on the pitch. So we need to make sure we have the right players on the pitch to get the job done. In the last bunch of games, we have had the right determination defensively and scoring some goals as well."

Dru Yearwood has already gotten a taste of what the Union is all about, especially earning a double yellow into red when they lost one goal to nil at Subaru Park earlier in the season., he believes both sides are looking at the mirror when it comes to their style of play.

"I think that we play some of the same systems they do. I think personnel-wise, we have some of the same styles of players they have and we clash," said Dru Yearwood. "That's the main thing as this game will make it a dog fight when we get together.

We know that the Union is going to have some big-time players ready to go especially in goal with Andre Blake in the net for the Union, Alejandro Bedoya in midfield along with Corey Burke up top along with  Kacper Pryzbylko putting in the goals, but with their current form during this three-match unbeaten streak, it's a tie for the young Bulls to go out there and climb the ladder to try and reach a playoff spot.

But the reason this three-game unbeaten streak has been so successful so far was uttered by Yearwood during the Presser that "New York is Red."
