Week 14 Preview: New York Jets vs. Buffalo Bills

After last week's heartbreaking loss to Minnesota, the New York Jets are looking to bounce back as they face a familiar foe in the Buffalo Bills. Will Mike White continue his hot start or will the Bills stifle him? Here is a preview of this Sunday's game.

Week 14 Preview

What to Expect:

Revenge: The Jets beat the Bills in week 9 20-17, so the Bills are going to want their revenge. Both teams will be coming in with a different game plan this time around. While the Bills have seemingly reclaimed their offense, the Jets made a change at quarterback. Zach Wilson will not be starting due to his poor play, so QB Mike White will start. It will be interesting to see how White performs against this Bills' defense.

The Severity of Josh Allen's Elbow: Since the Jets-Bills game in week 9, the Bills' QB, Josh Allen, has been dealing with a UCL sprain. Despite the injury, Allen is still reportedly able to throw the ball down the field. The Jets held Allen to 205 yards with two interceptions the first go-round. Will it be a repeat performance?

Still the Road Warriors: Despite losing two in a row on the road, this Jets team plays its best football on the road and there isn't a single NFL stadium that they are afraid of, especially Buffalo. However, they haven't won in Buffalo since December 29th, 2019. This is sure to be a big game.

Just the Facts:

  • Bills domination: Despite losing to the Jets in their last game, the Bills have won four out of the five meetings against the Jets.
    • Mike White magic: Despite appearing in two games this season, White has proven to be the quarterback the Jets desperately needed. He has thrown for 684 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions. Not Bad.
  • Another important game: The Jets must keep pace in the playoff race as they are the seventh seed in the AFC. Every game counts.

Five Big Questions to Ask:

  1. Will the Jets' defense dominate Josh Allen?
  2. How will the Bills' defense react to Mike White?
  3. Will special teams be better in this game?
  4. Stefon Diggs vs Sauce Gardner: will it be more of the same?
  5. Will the Jets win?

Who is on the Injury Report?

Questionable: WR Corey Davis (Illness), OT George Fant (Illness/Knee)

Prediction:

This will be a dog fight and both teams are battling it out for playoff positioning. With QB Mike White, the offense should be a lot better, and with the addition of Zonovan Knight, the run game should be set. I believe in the Jets, but it's going to be another close game.

Final Score: Jets 24 Bills 23
