Shore Conference Football Week Seven Recap

Manalapan 56, Neptune 20

Naim Mayfield added to his storybook career with a career-high 313 yards and five touchdowns on just nine carries as Manalapan improved to 7-0 on the season. Senior quarterback Luke Corcione threw a 61-yard touchdown pass to tight end Alex Claro, and senior wide receiver Symir Blacknall added a 16-yard touchdown run.

Howell 37, Freehold Township 10

Freehold Township suffered their first loss of the season in large part thanks to Howell senior quarterback Eddie Morales, who threw two touchdown passes and ran for another. Senior running back Nick Chambers also had a pair of touchdown runs for the Rebels. Senior wide receivers Naseim Brantley and Ryan Mazik hauled in touchdowns for the Rebels.

Jackson Memorial 42, Toms River East 14

The Jaguars improved to 5-2 thanks to senior quarterback A.J. Tolmachewich, who tossed three touchdown passes. Senior wide receiver Matt D’Amore hauled in a pair of scores in the first half and senior tight end Brandon Hirsch also caught a touchdown. Tom Pellone, Leo Shimonovich and Steven Rodriguez added rushing touchdowns for the Jaguars.

Long Branch 30, Ocean 14

The Green Wave improved to 5-1 thanks to two touchdowns by fullback La’Qym Morris. Senior quarterback Juwan Wilkins added a touchdown pass as he connected with Billy Levy for a score and sophomore running back Jermaine Corbett tacked on an 18-yard touchdown run. Quarterback Robbie Nungesser threw two touchdowns for Ocean.

Pinelands 42, Manchester 34

Pinelands used a strong rushing attack of 454 yards to down Manchester. Evan Burton totaled 189 yards and three touchdowns while Brennan Richardson ran for 171 yards and two touchdowns. Manchester was led by senior quarterback Jerry Ward, who ran for 139 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries and threw for 102 yards and two touchdowns.

Wall 20, Matawan 8

The Crimson Knights improved to 4-3 thanks to the efforts of senior running back Brady McNally, who ran for two touchdowns of 20 and 43 yards. Senior quarterback Eddie Scott tacked on a score of his own on a 19-yard touchdown run.

Middletown South 27, Toms River North 0

The Eagles improved to 3-3 on the season and picked up their first shutout of the season in their victory over the Mariners. Senior quarterback Ben Kinsella threw four first-half touchdown passes to four different receivers: Jaime Petrillo, Chris Fleming, Connor Ard, and Rob Zega.
